The world leaders in welders, UPS systems, motors, drives, avionics, power and military electronics and medical lasers are prominently among its more than 33,000 customers.

Headquartered in Liberty, SC, Cornell Dubilier Electronics, Inc. (CDE) is a privately held, American-owned maker of capacitors for electronic and electrical equipment with three ISO-9001 registered facilities. CDE's major capacitor types are aluminum electrolytic, polypropylene film, mica, pulse, snubber, motor-run, motor-start, HID Lighting and high voltage capacitors.

CDE has become the preeminent, worldwide supplier of capacitors for power electronics. Principal markets are renewable energy, power supplies, motor drives, HVAC, HID Lighting, motors, welding, aerospace, telecom, and UPS systems. The unifying theme is power electronics and differentiation from other capacitor makers by a high level of technical and customer support from a staff of 20 engineers and 20 customer service account managers.

CDE Power Conversion Type PC Series capacitors deliver a full 60,000 hour life at rated voltage, at a hot-spot temperature (area reaching the highest temperature) of 85°C. Type PC capacitors are wound using a high crystalline metallized polypropylene (HCPP) film, which possesses an extremely low dissipation factor.
