Answer: I did a quick google search and found an answer to your question: CR2025 is 20 x 2.5mm, and the CR2016 is only 1.6mm thick. Being that the CR2016 is thinner, it also won't last as long during use. The output voltage is the same, and the thicknesses are very similar, so they're often interchangeable.
