As a protective measure, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. In order to ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-5 Variant, 4 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages. When operating in reverse bias mode continuously, the photodiodes can withstand 15V voltage. When reverse-biased, the photodiodes should not continually exceed 15V. Without light input, a photodiode will produce 1nA current.
