ADUC7021BCPZ62 Description
Featuring high-performance multichannel ADCs, 16-bit/32-bit MCUs, and Flash?/EE memory on a single chip, the ADUC7021BCPZ62 is a fully integrated, 1-MSPS, 12-bit data collection system.
Up to 12 single-ended inputs make up the ADC. The four DAC output pins are multiplexed with the additional four inputs that are accessible. Only select models come with the four DAC outputs (ADuC7020, ADuC7026, ADuC7028, and ADuC7029). The maximum number of ADC input channels is 16, but in many situations where the DAC outputs are absent, these pins can still be used as additional ADC inputs. Both single-ended and differential input modes are supported by the ADC. ADC input ranges from 0 V to VREF. The ADC peripheral set is completed by a voltage comparator, temperature sensor, and low drift band gap reference.
Up to four buffered voltage output DACs are available on-chip, depending on the part model. Three different voltage ranges can be programmed into the DAC output range.
The components' internal high-frequency clock, which is generated by a PLL and an on-chip oscillator and is 41.78 MHz, drives the devices (UCLK). The operational frequency for the MCU core clock is produced from this clock after it has been routed via a programmable clock divider. The microcontroller's core is a 16-bit/32-bit ARM7TDMI? RISC machine with a maximum performance of 41 MIPS. On-chip memory options include 62 kilobytes of nonvolatile Flash/EE and 8 kilobytes of SRAM. All memory and registers are seen as a single linear array by the ARM7TDMI core.
On-chip factory firmware provides non-intrusive emulation via the JTAG interface and in-circuit serial download via the UART or I2 C serial interface port. A low-cost QuickStart? development system that supports the MicroConverter? family includes these characteristics.
The components are specified throughout an industrial temperature range of 40°C to +125°C and operate between 2.7 V and 3.6 V. The normal power dissipation when operating at 41.78 MHz is 120 mW.
