ADUM163N0BRZ Description
The ADUM163N0BRZ is a 6-channel digital isolator based on iCoupler® technology from Analog Devices, Inc. These isolation components offer exceptional performance characteristics that are superior to alternatives like optocoupler devices and other integrated couplers because they combine high-speed complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and monolithic air core transformer technology. With a pulse width distortion of less than 4.5 ns at 5 V operation, the maximum propagation delay is 13 ns. Propagation delay matching between channels is minimally 4.0 ns.
The withstand voltage rating of the ADUM163N0BRZ data channels is 3.0 kV rms, and they are independent and offered in a number of configurations. The devices can work with supplies ranging from 1.7 V to 5.5 V on either side, making them compatible with lower voltage systems and allowing voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier.
Since there are no input logic transitions, unlike other optocoupler alternatives, dc accuracy is guaranteed. When the input power supply isn't applied, two alternative fail-safe methods are available that cause the outputs to change to a specified state.
