LT1021DCS8-7 Description


A precision reference with exceptionally low drift and noise, excellent long-term stability, and nearly complete immunity to input voltage fluctuations is the LT1021DCS8-7. Up to 10mA can be both source and drain on the reference output. There are three selectable voltages: 5V, 7V, and 10V. The 7V and 10V units have the same precise properties as the three-terminal connection when used as shunt regulators (two-terminal zeners). The impacts of thermal regulation and temperature-induced hysteresis have been reduced with particular care.

Based on a buried zener diode structure, the LT1021DCS8-7 references do not have the noise and stability issues that come with surface breakdown devices. Furthermore, a subsurface zener outperforms even the best bandgap references in terms of temperature drift and time stability.

The LT1021 is the first IC reference to provide ultralow drift without the usage of powerful on-chip heaters because of its innovative circuit architecture.

The LT1021-7 has the best long-term stability and temperature hysteresis because it doesn't set output voltage with a resistive divider. The LT1021-5 and LT1021-10 are designed for use in systems that require a precise 5V or 10V reference with an initial tolerance of less than ±0.05%.
