LT1236BCS8-10 Description
The LT1236BCS8-10 is a precision reference that offers outstanding long-term stability, high output accuracy, and extremely low drift and noise. The reference output is virtually completely resistant to changes in input voltage and can source and sink up to 10mA. There are two selectable voltages: 5V and 10V. The 10V version has the same precise properties as the three-terminal connection and can be used as a shunt regulator (two-terminal zener). The impacts of thermal regulation and temperature-induced hysteresis have been reduced with special care.
Without making use of on-chip heaters with a lot of power, the LT1236BCS8-10 combines excellent accuracy and temperature coefficient parameters. The LT1236BCS8-10 references are built on a buried zener diode topology that does away with the stability and noise issues that surface breakdown devices have. Even the greatest band-gap references cannot match the temperature drift and time stability of a subsurface zener.
