LT1585CM-3.6 Description
Low dropout three-terminal regulators having a 7A, 4.6A, and 3A output current capabilities are the LT? 1584, LT1585, and LT1587, respectively. Low voltage applications, where transient response and lowest input voltage are crucial, have been the focus of design optimization. It has a lower dropout voltage and a quicker transient response than the LT1083/4/5 series.
Because of these upgrades, it is perfect for low voltage microprocessor applications that call for a regulated 2.5V to 3.6V output with an input supply below 7V. To provide the desired output current and controlled short-circuit current, the current limit is reduced. Any overload combination that could result in high junction temperatures is protected by on-chip thermal limiting.
