To protect the devices from damage, PTC thermistors are packaged in SMD/SMT packages. PTC thermistors have 2 terminations. During operation, PTC thermistors could supply 6V voltage. PTC thermistors should produce 600mW heat. PTC thermistors should not have a current greater than 100A. The thermistors should operate at a maximum temperature of 85°C. Nevertheless, the thermistor should not operate below -40°C.
