Mechanical temperature sensors are insulated electrically, so that they prevent [0] current from passing through. To protect the circuit from problems, the contact resistance of mechanical temperature sensors should be [0]. In order for this electronic part to operate properly, the minimum operating temperature cannot be lower than [0]. Mechanical temperature sensors, however, can withstand temperatures up to 260°C. The maximum current that a mechanical temperature sensor will carry for an indefinite period is 500mA. Mechanical temperature sensors cannot carry voltages greater than [0] in AC circuits.
