Because the P-channel high-side switch eliminates the requirement for a charge pump, EMI is reduced. The integrated driver IC makes connecting to a microcontroller simple, with logic level inputs, current sense diagnosis, slew rate adjustment, dead time creation, and protection against over temperature, under voltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit. The BTN8962TAAUMA1 is a cost-effective solution for protected high-current PWM motor drives that uses very little board space.
