ILD6150XUMA1 Description
The ILD6150 is a lagging buck LED driver IC for driving high-power LED in general lighting applications with an average current of up to 1.5A. ILD6150 is suitable for LED applications with supply voltages ranging from 4.5V to 60V. The multi-functional PWM input signal allows dimming of the LED using an analog DC voltage or an external PWM signal. In order to minimize the color shift of the LED, the simulated PWM voltage is converted into an internal 1.6kHz PWM signal to modulate the LED current. The ILD6150 integrates an undervoltage lock that turns off the IC when the minimum supply voltage threshold is exceeded. Once the output current exceeds the current threshold, the overcurrent protection shuts down the output stage. Once the adjustable junction temperature threshold of the integrated circuit is exceeded, the integrated overtemperature protection circuit will begin to reduce the LED current through internal PWM modulation. Thermal coupling between LED drivers IC and LED eliminates the need for external temperature sensors such as NTC or PTCS.
