There is an optimized performance in this voltage regulator because it utilizes the Tape & Reel (TR) package. A voltage regulator consists of 8 terminations. As a matter of fact, the type of analog IC that this voltage regulator 12v is equipped with is called SWITCHED CAPACITOR CONVERTER.
