There are two types of analog ICs on this voltage regulator. The first type is a SWITCHING REGULATOR-type IC. This voltage regulator is able to operate with the minimal input voltage of 8V. In this adjusting voltage regulator, the output voltage (Min/Fixed) equates to 2.5V.
