The linear amplifier is packaged in a 14-SOIC (0.154, 3.90mm Width) case which makes it easy for the consumer to handle. A General Purpose-type buffer amplifier is shown here. A Tape & Reel (TR) case is used for delivering the op amp. There is a growing number of terminations approaching the number of 14. In this case, there are 14 pins on the board. As a reminder, this buffer op amp should be powered by 15V battery and that the battery should be inserted in the amplifier.
