LT1962EMS8-3.3#PBF Description
Micropower, low-noise, and low-dropout regulators belong to the LT®1962 series. The devices have a dropout voltage of 270 mV and can deliver an output current of 300 mA. Due to their low 30A quiescent current, they are perfect for use in battery-powered systems. Quiescent current is well controlled; unlike many other regulators, it does not increase during dropout.
Low output noise is one of the LT1962 regulators' important characteristics.
Output noise decreases to 20 VRMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth with the addition of an external 0.01F bypass capacitor. With output capacitors as low as 3.3 F, the LT1962 regulators are stable. There is no need for the series resistance that other regulators demand when using small ceramic capacitors.
