DS3234SN# Description


The DS3234SN# is a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO), integrated crystal, and SRAM-equipped SPI bus C Real-time Clock. To monitor VCC, the DS3234 has a precise, temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit. When VCC falls below both VBAT and the power-fail voltage (VPF), the device asserts the RST output and also turns off read and write access to the part. For the purpose of producing a P reset, the RST pin is watched as a pushbutton input. When the main power to the device is stopped, the device shifts to the backup supply input and maintains precise timekeeping.
