There is an optimized performance in this voltage regulator because it utilizes the Tape & Reel (TR) package. During the development of this harley voltage regulator, 20 terminations were made. As a matter of fact, the type of analog IC that this voltage regulator 12v is equipped with is called SWITCHING REGULATOR.
