MCP2562FD-E/MF Description


Microchip Technology Inc. offers the MCP2562FD-E/MF, a high-speed CAN Flexible Data Rate Transceiver. The MCP2562's features are available here as well. Additionally, in order to support the higher data rates necessary for CAN FD, it ensures Loop Delay Symmetry. Longer bus lengths are now supported by an enhanced maximum propagation delay. The product is compliant with automotive standards for CAN FD data rates greater than 2Mbps, low quiescent current, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and electrostatic discharge. It acts as a bridge between the physical bus and a CAN protocol controller. For the CAN protocol controller, the device has differential transmit and receive capabilities. It is also completely compliant with ISO-11898-2 and ISO-11898-5 standards. For CAN FD, the loop delay symmetry is guaranteed to enable data rates up to 5 Mbps. Longer bus lengths are now supported by an enhanced maximum propagation delay.
