In order to protect the op amps, a 8-SOIC (0.154, 3.90mm Width) case is used. A General Purpose-type buffer amplifier is shown here. As far as the packaging is concerned, buffer op amp is delivered in a Tape & Reel (TR) case. There is a growing number of terminations approaching the number of 8.
