DSP56F803BU80E Description
DSP56F803BU80E is a member of a family of processors based on 56800 cores. It combines the processing power of DSP with the functions of microcontrollers and a flexible set of peripherals on a single chip, creating a highly cost-effective solution. Because of its low cost, flexible configuration and compact program code, 56F803 is very suitable for many applications. The 56F803 includes many peripherals particularly suitable for applications such as motion control, smart appliances, pedals, encoders, tachometers, limit switches, power and control, automotive control, engine management, noise suppression, remote utility metering and power, lighting and automation industrial control applications. The 56800 kernel is based on a Harvard-style architecture and consists of three execution units of parallel operations, allowing up to six operations per instruction cycle. The MCU-style programming model and optimized instruction set allow efficient, compact device and control code to be generated directly. This instruction set is also very efficient for C compilers to support the rapid development of optimization control applications.
