The series of processors with 56800 cores includes the 56F807. It creates an incredibly cost-effective solution by combining, on a single chip, the processing capability of a DSP and the functionality of a microcontroller with a flexible set of peripherals. The 56F807 is suitable for a wide range of applications due to its inexpensive price, configurable flexibility, and little program code. For applications like motion control, smart appliances, steppers, encoders, tachometers, limit switches, power supply and control, automotive control, engine management, noise suppression, remote utility metering, and industrial control for power, lighting, and automation, the 56F807 includes a number of peripherals that are particularly helpful.
