MC9S08EL32CTL Description
The inbuilt Slave LIN Interface Controller (SLIC) and EEPROM in the 8-bit microcontrollers S08EL and S08SL contribute to improved LIN slave performance and quicker development. The 8-bit EL and SL series of microcontrollers (MCUs) from NXP USA Inc. are intended for LIN slave and general market applications. The SL family is designed for more budget-conscious applications, but the EL family is positioned as a higher-end and offers additional peripherals and higher memory. Local Interconnect Network is one of the EL and SL families' application focus areas (LIN). LIN is a single-master, multiple-slave networking architecture that was initially created for sensor and actuator networking applications in the automotive industry.
