MC9S08LC60LK Description
By providing an integrated LCD controller with the low-power and feature-rich capabilities of the S08 family, the MC9S08LC60LK microcontroller broadens Freescale's 8-bit product line. The first LCD S08 8-bit microcontroller for battery-operated and portable applications is MC9S08LC60LK. The S08LC is a flash-based device with improved off-chip EEPROM emulation, eliminating the need for it and reducing both board area and cost. The MC9S08LC60LK was designed with high segment count and battery friendliness in mind. A larger segment display with up to 160 segments can accommodate a wide range of display needs by providing complete flexibility with a graphical display and enough memory to serve as an application and LCD controller without the additional cost of a dot matrix or "chip-on-glass."

Temperature sensor
The internal bandgap reference channel
Trigger conversion using the real-time interrupt (RTI) counter
Analog comparator module
Option to compare to the internal reference
Output can be optionally routed to the timer/pulse width modulation module (TPM) as an input capture trigger
Timers
Programmable 16-bit TPM
Each channel can be independently programmed for:
Input capture
Output compare
Buffered, edge-aligned pulse width modulation (PWM)
Buffered center-aligned PWM
System Security Features
Watchdog computer operating reset adequately with the option to run from a dedicated 1 kHz internal clock source or from the bus clock
Low-voltage detection (LVD) generates reset, interrupt or flag with two software selectable trip points
A low-voltage warning sets a flag, with higher trip points than LVD
