MC9S12XDT256VAL Description
MC9S12XDT256VAL, developed by NXP Semiconductors / Freescale, is a member of S12XD automotive and industrial microcontrollers (MCUs). The performance and power consumption are adjustable to meet specific operational requirements through the inclusion of a phase-lock loop (PLL) circuit. Because the external bus is able to operate in an 8-bit narrow mode, single 8-bit wide memory can be interfaced for lower-cost systems. It is able to deliver low power consumption, excellent electromagnetic compatibility performance, and efficient code size. MC9S12XDT256VAL microcontroller provides 32-bit performance (up to 80 MHz) with all the advantages and efficiencies of a 16-bit MCU, so it is positioned for automotive multiplexing and mid-range body applications where the flash from 64 KB to 512 KB is essentially required.
