The proximity sensors work best when the reed switch's internal contacts pass 200mA current. In DC circuits, the proximity sensors can be operated at a maximum voltage of 55V. A DC circuit with proximity sensors should not produce a current below 10V, otherwise, the circuit will present a safety hazard.
