LM324AN Description
The LM324 quad operational amplifiers has real differential inputs and is modest in cost. In single-supply applications, they have numerous significant advantages over ordinary operational amplifier types. With quiescent currents around one-fifth of those associated with the MC1741, the quad amplifier can operate at supply voltages as low as 3.0 V or as high as 32 V. (on a per amplifier basis). In many applications, the common-mode input range encompasses the negative supply, reducing the need for external biasing components. The negative power supply voltage is included in the output voltage range.

LM324AN Applications
In line following robots, the LM324 comparator is commonly employed.
The LM324 can simply implement the applications of the typical op-amp.
The LM324 can be used in oscillators, amplifiers, rectifiers, and comparators, among other things.
