A Bulk package protects these photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure their safety, the photodiodes are packaged into 2-DIP (0.213, 5.40mm) packages. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 16V when operating in reverse-bias mode continuously. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 16V permanently. A photodiode is equipped with 2 pins. A circuit made up of photodiodes could release heat 150mW. While operating photodiodes, the temperature should not exceed 100°C. However, the minimum operating temperature for the photodiodes should be set at -40°C. It is recommended that the reverse anode voltage on the photodiodes be 32V. It is generally recommended that the maximum heat released by photodiodes should be 150mW in a circuit. If the reverse voltage is set to 16V, the photodiodes can work effectively. When current flows across a photodiode, it needs voltage 1.3V. Without light input, a photodiode will produce 2nA current.
