You'll get reliable performance if the photoelectric sensor's temperature is -25°C~55°C. It's important that 12V~24V is applied to the circuit or system for these components to work. The ideal response time for photoelectric sensors is 500μs. Photoelectric sensors should have a current of 50mA at their output in order to function.
