LD1086DT33TR Description
The LD1086DT33TR is a low-drop voltage regulator that provides an output current of up to 1.5A. Under the maximum output current, the maximum differential voltage is 1.2V, which will decrease at lower load. The LD1086 is pin-to-pin compatible with the old three-terminal adjustable voltage regulator, but has better performance in terms of buck and output tolerance. Unlike the PNP regulator, the LD1086 static current flows into the load, which improves efficiency. Stability can be achieved with only one 10 microF (minimum) capacitor. The device is available in TO-220, D2PAK, D2PAK/A, DPAK or DFN8 (4x4) packages. On-chip fine tuning allows the voltage regulator to achieve a very strict output voltage tolerance; at 25 °C, the output voltage is in the range of ±1%. The LD1086 can be supplied as an automotive-grade product for regulating the output voltage in TO-220 and DPAK packages. Statistical tests of PAT, SYL and SBL have been carried out and these devices comply with the AEC-Q100 specifications of the automotive market in the temperature range of-40 °C to 125 °C.
