This gadget is made up of four separate, precise voltage comparators that work independently and were created specifically to work with a single supply and a variety of voltages. It is also feasible to operate using separate power supplies.
The input common-mode voltage range of these comparators includes the negative rail despite being powered by a single power supply voltage, which is another distinctive feature.
