STX13003 Overview
DC current gain' is equal to the ratio of the collector current to the base current, something like Ic/Ib, and this device has 8 @ 500mA 2V DC current gain.As it features a collector emitter saturation voltage of 1.5V, it allows for maximum design flexibility.As a result of vce saturation, Ic reaches its maximum value (saturated), and vce saturation(Max) is 1.5V @ 500mA, 1.5A.The base voltage of the emitter can be kept at 9V to achieve high efficiency.This device has a current rating of 1A which corresponds to the maximum current it can carry for an indefinite period without deteriorating too much.When collector current reaches its maximum, it can reach 1A volts.
