ICM-20649 Description
The ICM-20649 is the World's First Wide-Range 6-Axis MEMS MotionTracking™ Device for Sports and High Impact Applications. In order to better ensure that crucial data is not lost at the point of high impact or high speed rotation, many of today's wearable and sports solutions—which analyze the motion of a user's golf or tennis swings, soccer ball kicks, or basketball activities—need higher than currently available ±2000 dps (degrees per second) FSR for the gyroscope and ±16g FSR for the accelerometer. In addition to having the highest FSR in the industry, the ICM-20649 6-axis inertial sensor has the smallest size, lowest profile, and least amount of power.
The ICM-20649 offers reliable analysis of contact sports applications by giving continuous motion sensor data before, during, and after impact in order to provide more accurate feedback. It has an extended FSR range of ±4000 dps for the gyroscope and ±30g for the accelerometer.
The ICM-20649 is the first wide-range 6-axis MotionTracking system designed for high-impact sports and other applications. It comes in a 24-pin QFN package with dimensions of 3x3x0.9 mm.
