504028-1 Description
Modern technology is used in TE's PARALIGHT active optical cable assemblies to create affordable high data throughput interconnects. The connector shell of the cables' E/O and O/E conversion allows for a significant increase in PCB real estate utilization.
The 5 Gb/s active cable assemblies will function over a data rate of 2.5 to 5 Gb/s per lane with an aggregate data rate of 20 Gb/s in each direction using 850 nm VCSEL technology.
The operating range of the 10 Gb/s active cable assemblies is 2.5 to 10 Gb/s per lane, with a maximum combined data rate of 40 Gb/s in each direction.
They are made of 50 micron fiber and come in lengths of up to 100 meters. On request, further lengths are available. The 8B/10B encoded data streams used by InfiniBand, Fibre Channel, and XAUI are compatible with the EOE circuits.
I 2C serial interface connections are supported by the QSFP connector style, which can be used to determine a product's performance capabilities.
