INA240A1PWR is a high and low side, bidirectional, zero-drift current sensing amplifier with increased PWM rejection in an 8-pin TSSOP package. Drops across shunt resistors can be sensed over a wide common mode voltage range of -4V to 80V, regardless of supply voltage. The negative common mode voltage allows the device to operate below ground, accommodating the typical solenoid flyback duration. In systems that utilise pulse width modulation (PWM) signals, enhanced PWM rejection delivers significant levels of suppression for large common mode transients (V/t) (such as motor drives and solenoid control systems). This feature enables accurate current measurements without big transients and related output voltage recovery ripple.
