ISO3086TDWR Description
The ISO3086TDWR is an isolated differential line transceiver that has built-in oscillator outputs that supply the isolation transformer's primary voltage. This full-duplex differential line transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 applications can be quickly set up to operate in half-duplex mode by connecting pins 11 and 12 to pins 14 and 13, respectively.
These components are perfect for lengthy transmission lines because they break the ground loop to enable a significantly wider common-mode voltage range. Between the bus-line transceiver and the logic-level interface, the device's symmetrical isolation barrier is tested to offer 4242 VPK of isolation for 1 minute per VDE.
Electrical noise transients from many sources can affect any cabled I/O. If these noise transients are large enough and last long enough, they can harm the transceiver and/or nearby sensitive equipment. These isolated devices can greatly improve protection and lower the chance that pricey control circuits will be harmed.
The operating range of the ISO3086T is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
