ISO7710FDR Description
According to UL 1577, the ISO7710 device is a high-performance, single-channel digital isolator with isolation values of 5000 VRMS (DW package) and 3000 VRMS (D package). The VDE, TUV, CSA, and CQC have all also certified this product.
By isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os, the ISO7710 device offers strong electromagnetic protection and minimal emissions at low power consumption. The isolation channel comprises a double capacitive silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier between the logic input and output buffers. If there is a loss of input power or signal, the default output for a device without a suffix F is high, while the default output for a device with a suffix F is low. For more information, go to the Device Functional Modes section.
The device assists in preventing noise currents on data buses, including RS-485, RS-232, and CAN, or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or harming delicate equipment when used in conjunction with separated power supply. The electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO7710 device has been greatly improved by unique chip design and layout strategies to simplify system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and emissions compliance. Both 16-pin SOIC wide-body (DW) and 8-pin SOIC narrow-body (D) packages are available for the ISO7710 device.
