LM3279TLX/NOPB Product Details
LM3279TLX/NOPB Description
A buck-boost DC/DC converter, the LM3279TLX/NOPB is well suited for Power Amplifiers using single-cell Li-Ion batteries in portable applications. It may produce output voltages above or below a specific input voltage. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), Pulse Frequency Width Modulation (PWM), Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM), standby, and shutdown are the four operational modes of the LM3279TLX/NOPB. Under typical operating circumstances, the LM3279TLX/NOPB runs in full synchronous PWM mode with a typical switching frequency of 2.4 MHz, enabling smooth switching between the buck and boost operating regimes. When using low-power RF transmission modes, the energy-saving PFM mode improves efficiency and current savings. While the device can switch between PWM and PFM modes while transmitting low power, it functions in PWM buck or boost mode for a high transmit power. The LM3279TLX/NOPB can be controlled either via an included MIPIRFFE Digital ControlInter face or by using an analog control from an external MCU offering design flexibility.
