LM7812CT Description

The LM7812CT three-terminal positive regulator employs internal current limiting, thermal shut down, and safe operating area protection, making it essentially indestructible. If adequate heat sinking is provided, the LM7812CT can deliver over 1A output current. Although designed primarily as a fixed voltage regulator, the regulator LM7812CT can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents. The LM7812CT is offered in the TO-220 package. It is specified for operation from 0°C to +70°C.
