LM78L05ACZ/NOPB Description
The three terminal positive regulators of the LM78L series (referred to as LM78Lxx throughout this article) are available with a number of fixed output voltages, making them useful in a variety of applications. The LM78Lxx typically offers an effective output impedance increase of two orders of magnitude and reduced quiescent current when used as a replacement for Zener-diode and resistor combinations. By offering local, on-card regulation, these regulators can do away with the distribution issues brought on by single-point regulation. The LM78Lxx can be utilized in logic systems, instrumentation, hi-fi, and other solid-state electronic devices thanks to the available voltages.
