It uses the Tube package in order to optimize the performance of this voltage regulator. There are 8 terminations in this voltage regulator. There is a SWITCHING REGULATOR type analog IC in this voltage regulator 12v that is used to convey analog signals. In order to save space, this harley voltage regulator is available in the 8-SOIC (0.154, 3.90mm Width) package. In this case, DC DC switching regulator has 1 outputs configured to it. Adjusting voltage regulator's output pins generate Adjustable output. As the name implies, this voltage regulator 12v is designed for mounting on a Surface Mount bracket.
