MSP430F249TPM Description
The MSP430F249TPM is a 16 MHz MCU with 60KB Flash, 2KB SRAM, 12-Bit ADC, comparator, I2C/SPI/UART, HW multiplier. The MSP430? family of ultra-low power microcontrollers from Texas Instruments consists of a number of components with varied peripherals geared toward diverse applications. In portable measurement applications, the architecture is tailored to achieve longer battery life through the use of five low-power modes. The system includes a potent 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and constant generators that help the code run as efficiently as possible. In less than 1 μs, the calibrated digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) enables wake-up from low-power modes to active mode.
Microcontroller configurations with two integrated 16-bit timers, a fast 12-bit A/D converter (not in MSP430F24x1), a comparator, four (two in MSP430F23x), universal serial communication interface (USCI) modules, and up to 48 I/O pins are available in the MSP430F23x, MSP430F24x(1), and MSP430F2410 series. The ADC12 module is not implemented in the MSP430F24x1 devices, which otherwise are the same as the MSP430F24x devices. The only differences between the MSP430F23x devices and the MSP430F24x devices are a smaller Timer_B, one fewer USCI module, and less RAM.
