The MSP430F5342IRGZR ultra-low-power microcontroller is made up of numerous devices with distinct peripheral sets designed for different purposes. The architecture is optimized for extended battery life in portable measurement applications, thanks to a variety of low-power modes. The MSP430F5342IRGZR microcontroller is equipped with a strong 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and a constant generator for optimal code efficiency. The MSP430F5342IRGZR microcontroller can wake up from low-power modes to active mode in 3.5 seconds thanks to the digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) (typical). Four 16-bit timers, a high-performance 12-bit ADC, two USCIs, a hardware multiplier, DMA, an RTC module with alarm capabilities, and 38 I/O pins are included in the MSP430F5342IRGZR MCU variants.
