The MSP430FR2522IPW16R is a family of ultra-low-power MSP430TM microcontrollers (MCUs) for capacitive touch sensing that includes CapTIvateTM touch technology for applications with 1 to 16 capacitive buttons or proximity sensing that are concerned about cost. For industrial applications exposed to electromagnetic disturbances, oil, water, and grease, the MSP430FR25x2 MCUs provide value and performance. The gadgets support touch through glass, plastic, and metal overlays and provide IEC-certified solutions with 5x lower power usage than the competition.
