With its special low-energy accelerator (LEA) for digital signal processing, the MSP430FR5964IRGZR microcontroller (MCU) advances low power and performance. This accelerator offers 40 times the performance of Arm? Cortex?-M0+ MCUs, enabling programmers to analyze data effectively utilizing advanced techniques like FFT, FIR, and matrix multiplication. With a free optimized DSP library available, implementation requires no DSP experience. These devices also provide additional room for complex applications and flexibility for the simple installation of over-the-air firmware updates thanks to their up to 256KB of unified memory with FRAM.

The MSP ultra-low-power (ULP) FRAM microcontroller platform unites specifically embedded FRAM with a comprehensive ultra-low-power system architecture, enabling system designers to boost performance while reducing energy consumption. The low-energy rapid writing, adaptability, and endurance of RAM are combined with the nonvolatile characteristics of flash in FRAM technology.

A rich hardware and software ecosystem with reference designs and code samples is available to support the MSP430FR5964IRGZR MCU and help you get started on your design right away.
