MSP430FR5994IPNR acts as a type of microcontroller optimized for various applications. Based on the unique low-energy accelerator (LEA) for digital signal processing, improvement in power and performance can be achieved. This accelerator is able to support 40x the performance of Arm? Cortex?-M0+ MCUs, which provides high efficiency for users in processing data using complex functions such as FFT, FIR, and matrix multiplication. Moreover, it is characterized by up to 256KB of unified memory with FRAM, enabling it to offer space for advanced applications and deliver high flexibility for effortless implementation of over-the-air firmware updates. High performance and lower energy consumption can be achieved thanks to its MSP ultra-low-power (ULP) FRAM microcontroller platform as well as uniquely embedded FRAM and holistic ultra-low-power system architecture.
