A variety of devices with varied peripheral sets designed for diverse purposes make up the Texas Instruments MSP430G2553IPW20 series of ultra-low-power microcontrollers. The architecture is optimized to achieve longer battery life in portable measuring applications when paired with five low-power modes. The device has a potent 16-bit RISC processor, 16-bit registers, and constant generators that all help to provide the highest possible code efficiency. Wake-up from low-power modes to active mode is possible in less than one second because to the digitally controlled oscillator (DCO).
