OPA549S Description
The OPA549S is a single high-voltage/high-current Operational Amplifier that can be used to power a wide range of loads. This laser-trimmed monolithic integrated circuit has high output voltage and current as well as excellent low-level signal accuracy. The common-mode range of the input extends below the negative supply. The OPA549 is internally protected against overheating and current overload. Furthermore, the OPA549 has an accurate, user-selected current limit. The OPA549 senses the load indirectly, as opposed to other designs that use a power resistor in series with the output current path. This enables the current limit to be adjusted using a resistor/potentiometer or controlled digitally using a voltage-out or current-out digital-to-analogue converter.
