SN55HVD251DRJR Description


According to ISO 11898 Standard, the SN55HVD251DRJR is designed for use in applications utilizing the Controller Area Network (CAN) serial communication physical layer. At speeds up to 1 megabit per second, the HVD251 offers differential transmit capabilities to the bus and differential receive capability to a CAN controller (Mbps). The device has cross-wire, overvoltage, and loss of ground protection up to 36 V and was built to operate in difficult settings. Additional features include -7 to 12 V common-mode range, overtemperature protection, and a tolerance of 200 V for transients. The transceiver connects the differential CAN bus used in industrial, building automation, and automotive applications with the single-ended CAN controller.
