The SN6501DBVR is a monolithic oscillator/power driver designed for isolated power supplies in isolated interface applications with a tiny form size. The gadget uses a 3.3-V or 5-V DC power supply to power a low-profile, center-tapped transformer primary. Based on the transformer turns ratio, the secondary can be wound to deliver any isolated voltage. The SN6501DBVR is made up of an oscillator and a gate drive circuit that generates complementary output signals for driving ground-connected N-channel power switches. Between the two switches, the underlying logic ensures break-before-make action. The SN6501DBVR comes in a tiny SOT-23 (5) packaging and can operate at temperatures ranging from –40°C to 125°C.
